Peacock Gap Escape

Marin County

Interior Designer: Julie Rootes

Photographer: Suzanna Scott

Set in San Rafael’s tranquil Peacock Gap, this spacious home was reimagined to reflect the quiet sophistication of its lush surroundings.

Framed by views of a private pool and citrus-lined grounds, the design balances openness and intimacy, with refined updates that enhance flow and function. Subtle architectural edits—removing dated columns, refreshing flooring, and modernizing key details—create a serene, grounded experience. Dual Primary Bedrooms offer personalized retreats, while thoughtfully designed spaces for the homeowners’ college-age daughters bring comfort and ease to family life.
